At the U13 level, foundational strength development plays an important role in preparing young athletes for the increasing speed and physical demands of hockey. Athletes begin developing proper movement mechanics, coordination, balance, stability, and overall body control through safe, age-appropriate training. Building strength at this stage not only improves skating power and athletic performance, but also helps reduce injury risk and creates confidence both on and off the ice. At Pyramid Performance Hockey Development, we focus on teaching strong movement habits and building a solid athletic foundation that supports long-term player development.
